$27 on a date

February 25th, 2006 at 02:01 pm

I went out on a date with my wife last night. We went to

Text is Moe's restaurant and Link is http://www.moes.com/
Moe's restaurant for dinner and then rented a movie at blockbuster (transporter 2). The food wasn't bad nor was the movie, but we spent $27. This also includes $3.50 for some girl scout cookes -- they were stationed at the entrance to blockbuster.

I'd like to be able to take my wife out 2-3 times a month, but I don't want to $30-$50 each time. This money actually came from my wife's babysitting -- she made $50 the night before. I need to come up with some dates which don't cost much money but are still fun.

When it gets warmer, my husband and I, go to blimpies and gettow sandwiches. I bring potatoe chips and a little cooler with ice, plus some drinks from home. We sit there and have a picnic dinner for under $7.
We also have a piece of property with a beautiful mountain view, some times we take our picnic there.

We do something similar. Lately we have been mining the Sunday paper and using all the BOGOF's we can find. This month there were so many that we havent been able to make it to all of them.

An annual pass to the state parks will pay for itself and then you can walk off dinner

Another option to consider would be the Entertainment book. I always liked trying new placees we've never been before. And if they were only so-so, they weren't full price! At this time of year I've seen the book discounted by$10 ( I think) At some point they go 50% off, but then you dont have as much time to use the offers.
